Do you love black forest cake? Well, you can now have it as a smoothie. This delicious black forest smoothie recipe is as good for the body as it is for the soul! Packed with protein, thanks to SETA’s Cocoa plant-based protein powder, it's perfect for a hearty breakfast, for snacking, and even for dessert!
Servings : 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fortified soy beverage (or any plant milk)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- ¾ cup frozen cherries
- ¾ cup frozen zucchini, chopped or grated
- 3 tablespoons of SETA’s Cocoa plant-based protein powder
- 1 pinch of salt
Toppings
Cocoa granola, cocoa nibs, puffed quinoa, cherries, mint, and edible flowers.
Instruction
- Get your toppings ready.
- Add all smoothie ingredients to your blender (always start with the most liquid first) and blend until smooth and creamy. Just add a bit more of plant-based milk if your blender seems to be having trouble grinding the frozen fruit.
- Don't hesitate to stop the blender if necessary: scrape down the sides, push the food to the bottom and turn it back on. Making a more consistent smoothie usually takes more time and patience.
- Pour into a bowl, add toppings and serve!
Note : It is best to enjoy the smoothie right away, but you can store it for 24 hours in the fridge in an airtight container!!
